Alumni Spotlight: David Caruolo – Class of 2005

Each month, we spotlight a graduate of EPHS to check up on how things are going in his or her life. This month, we focus on David Caruolo. David was the captain of the basketball and football team, and was also a member of the National Honor Society.

What did you go on to do after leaving EPHS and what are you doing currently?

After leaving EPHS in 2005 I went to Brown University and majored in History.  I am currently working in finance in New York City.

What are some highlights of your life or career after graduating from EPHS?

I worked for the Brown Men's Basketball team and was fortunate enough to travel all over the country as well as parts of Europe.  I also worked in San Francisco for a summer and got to explore Northern California.

What are your most memorable experiences from EPHS?

My most memorable experiences at EPHS came from the friendships that I developed through the Football and Basketball teams.  Many of my closest friends today are still the ones I shared the field and the classroom with at EPHS.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently?

If I could do it all over again, I don't know that I would do anything differently.  I loved the time I spent at EP.

How has the education you had at EPHS helped you succeed in life?

The education that I received at EPHS provided me with a remarkably solid and open-minded foundation that I have been able to build upon everyday of my life.

What is some advice you would give to current EPHS students?

One thing that I have learned since graduating from EPHS is that in order to do anything in life you have to earn it yourself, and the first step is to work hard and utilize the dedicated teachers at EPHS.
